Q: Caroline, we'd love to learn more about you and your background! 
I’m Caroline Bikini sous la Pluie and I’m a French surface pattern designer. After studying and earning my stripes in Paris for 10 years, I now live and work in the dynamic city of Nantes, in the west part of France.
Every day, I ride my bike to go to my light-filled workspace that I share with a bunch of creative people. I’m currently working in fashion, kidswear, stationery, and home decor.
My style is graphic with a vintage touch. I love to play with colors and to tell stories through figurative patterns.
Q: What's the inspiration for the Life is a Ball print?
I wanted this print to be very wintery. I love my designs to tell stories and I always try to introduce a bit of humor in my work so this fun bear playing with his ball was the perfect character.
Q: What kind of emotions or reactions do you hope this print evokes?
I hope that this print will touch people, and as it’s also on fam jams, I hope people will want to put them on and cocoon by the fireside with their family.
Q: How does it feel to know this print is out existing as living art in the world?
I’m always super happy to see my designs coming to life on products, and it’s even more touching when it’s for babies or kids. I was also excited to see that the print became a 'fam jam' print. I love jam jams!!
